Meez, operated by Brululi LLC, respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

When you use Meez, we may collect:

OAuth profile data from Google or Apple if you choose to sign in (e.g. name, email, profile picture if available)
App usage data via PostHog or similar tools, which is anonymized and non-identifying

We do not collect any dietary, health, or cooking preference data beyond what you choose to save.

1a. Age Requirement

You must be at least 13 years old to use Meez. If you are under 18, you may only use the app under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

1b. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data only with your consent (e.g. when you sign in), and to fulfill our contract with you (e.g. storing your saved recipes).

1c. Data Retention

If you delete your account, we will remove or anonymize your personal data within 30 days unless we are required to retain it by law.

1d. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies for basic, anonymized analytics through PostHog. By using our website, you consent to the use of cookies for performance monitoring.

1e. Third-Party Links

Meez may link to third-party sites. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of those sites.

1f. Security Measures

We use HTTPS encryption, OAuth for secure authentication, and Supabase's managed infrastructure to store your data securely.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use the data collected to:

Enable account functionality (e.g. saving recipes)
Improve the app through basic anonymized analytics
Maintain secure and reliable infrastructure

We do not sell or share your personal data.

3. Storage and Security

All data is stored in Supabase, a secure third-party backend. We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but cannot guarantee absolute security.

4. AI Usage

Meez uses OpenAI and Google Gemini to process and enhance recipe content. We never send personal user information or identifying data to these services.

5. Data Sharing

We may share anonymized, aggregated data for analytics purposes. We will never share your personal data without your consent, unless required by law.

6. Your Rights

You can request:

A copy of your stored data
Deletion of your account and all related content
Termination of analytics tracking

7. Children's Privacy

Meez is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via the app, our website, or email (if applicable). Continued use of the app after changes implies acceptance.
